Visual Branding for Startups

For this project, I collaborated with a Luxury Real Estate and Lifestyle focused startup. I worked closely with the founder to help the company define their visual identity by creating moodboards, brand guidelines, and reference boards to establish a cohesive luxury aesthetic.

Task: Having offices in both Milan and Beverly Hills, I was given the challenge to create a moodboard that blends Italian luxury and Beverly Hills sophistication. Although the founder initially had his brand and marketing centereted around a navy blue, he emphasized his desire to keep the italian flag as a prominent part of the logo.

I chose to focus on working my vision around dark green and burgundy, emphasizing the Italian flag in a deeper and richer tone. Dark green incorporates the colors of the infamous Beverly Hills hotel along with the dark green landscape that luxury, Italian properties are known to have. This deep red is also familiar to many luxury brands such as Cartier, Gucci, and Hermes. These two colors offer a sense of familarity to both locations as well as signal brand association through its uses in other luxury experiences.
